Rev. Eugene Field (Fr. Gene) – Parochial Vicar
Rev. Eugene Field or Fr. Gene as he is known, was ordained a priest in 1994, for the Archdiocese of Newark. His has previously served at St. Andrew’s in Bayonne, St. Francis of Assisi in Ridgefield Park, Our Lady of the Visitation in Paramus and Church of the Nativity in Midland Park.
Fr. Gene was born and raised in Bergenfield, in Bergen County and graduated from the University of Dayton, Ohio in 1986 with a bachelor’s in business management. Fr. Gene also earned a master’s in Church History from Seton Hall University in 1996.
Some fun facts about Fr. Gene – he has a Black seal Boiler license – he enjoys studying history, particularly Civil War History, and has travelled to numerous battle and historical sites throughout the United States. He has travelled to 45 of the 50 US States and hopes to see them all in his lifetime.
Deacon Ron Ronacher was born and raised in Queens, NY. He graduated from Empire State College SUNY, Saratoga, NY with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology – with Advanced Studies in Theology – Deaconate Program. He was ordained in March 1984 at St. James Cathedral, Brooklyn, NY. Deacon Ron served in St. Rita’s, Brooklyn, Our Lady of Montserrat/St. Lucy, Brooklyn, and again at St. Rita’s parishes before coming to St. Mary’s in July, 2017.
